How we seriously got interested…

Over time both my husband and I had experience's with the paranormal.  At times you start to wonder if you're going crazy.  Though, we've come to realize and believe there are spirits here among us.

It was after a trip to Gettysburg that our interest and beliefs were solidified.  The town of Gettysburg frequently makes top 10 lists for "most haunted place's", and we are convinced it's an earned spot.  There is a serene feel to the entire area.   Over 50,000 men were killed there during the 3 day battle.  With so much loss of life, in such a traumatic way, it's no wonder their souls are forever there. 

Going to Gettysburg was just the catalyst though for investigations.  We've since covered a lot of territory, and have hopes of continuing our research in places like Salem (MA), Charleston (SC), and even oversea's in Europe.

Recent Investigation’s:

2/2/08 - we investigated a house outside of Batavia, NY.  The house is nearly 200 years old.  The house was rich in history, as it was not always a residence.  To protect the owners identity, we will not be able to disclose more of it’s history.  We arrived in the middle of a terrible snow and freezing rain storm.  The house was beautiful and lived up to it’s history.  After several hours of investigation, we did end up cutting it alittle short due to the worsening weather.  However, through all the review of evidence, we were unable to come up with any evidence of a haunting.

1/26/08 - we investigated another home.  While personal experience’s  were hard to come by.  I had honestly thought it was going to be another investigation w/ no evidence.  Upon review there is a questionable video piece and numerous EVP’s that indicate an intelligent haunting.  We were getting direct answers to our questions.  For confidentiality purposes, we will not be releasing any of this evidence or the location.

12/31/07 - We took a trip in the daytime to Goodleburg Cemetery.  Just to check it out.  This place is turning into a legend within itself.  We took numerous pictures, and came up empty handed.  Though I urge you to visit our photo gallery to see photo’s from a member’s previous trip to Goodleburg.

12/07 - We investigated a home in Silver Creek, NY.  The house had a lot of paranormal activity.  From faucets turning on, footsteps being heard, to seeing full-bodied apparitions.  We caught some great evidence here including some photo’s posted in the photo gallery.  The house is currently on the market, so we don’t want to release any further information on this site.

These are our most recent investigation’s—we’ve investigated numerous home’s and public location’s.  We respect the privacy of our home owners though and will never release information unless the express it is okay.

Apparition:  A spectral image of a person that materializes even though a physical body is not present.

Orb:  Orbs can be described as the energy of a previous living person. It has been proven that energy does not cease to exist, it changes form. When we leave our physical bodies, only the physical body dies. The energy that was us, ie. our thinking being or soul just changes. This is what an orb is, the energy that left our physical bodies.

Ectoplasm:  Ectoplasm has been recorded as the substance seen oozing from ghosts/spirits which makes it possible for them to materialize and perform feats of telekinesis. Ectoplasm is often not visible to the naked eye but appears in photographs.

EVP:  Stands for Electronic Voice Phenomenon.  It is voices that are caught upon recording that were not heard at the time.  This is said to be a common occurence.

EMF:  Stands for Electromagnetic Field.  There is a theory that a high amount of electromagnetic energy can cause poltergeist activity, but also a theory that these same high energy levels attract spirit and that it is indeed spirit that cause the strange phenomena.

Astral Body:  The body that a person occupies during an out-of-body experience.

Paranormal:  Something that is beyond the range of normal human experience or scientific explanation.

Poltergist:  A mischievous ghost or entity that makes noises and upsets physical belongings.
